Live Video

I’m lucky enough to have worked on some great theatre productions recently with some amazing people. Both as Programmer (Qlab/Disguise) and as Associate Designer. See below for more info!

Sunset Blvd - Broadway 2024

Associate Video Designer/Programmer

Director: Jamie Lloyd

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

After a smash hit London run I was privileged to spend nearly 3 months in New York re-mounting this awesome show in the amazing St. James Theatre.

Working with the incredible local video team of Chris, Alex, Kevin & Adam and under the expert supervision of Chris Kurtz as production video, we took the video in this show to a whole new level! A highlight was an even more ambitious Act 2 “Walkaround” which featured the cast singing live whilst dealing with the chaos of West 44th Street in Manhattan. See it while you can!

Purple Rain - Minneapolis 2025

Video Programmer

Director: Lileana Blain-Cruz

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

Associate: Chris Czornyj

As a long standing Prince fan, it was a a pleasure to take over the reigns from the amazing Ido Levan as Disguise Programmer on the Pre-Broadway production of Purple Rain. Featuring lots of LED and live cameras as well as pre-recorded content, this show recreates the 1980s film in full glory on stage. Can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Dolly - A true original musical

Nashville 2025

Associate Video Designer

Director: Bartlett Sher

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

Prior to a hopeful Broadway transfer I spent 9 weeks in the amazing Nashville assisting on this brand new Dolly Parton life story. As well as regularly getting to be in the same room as the incredible DOLLY every day, we had a great US team including Chris Kurtz, Ido Levan, David Forsee, Kurt Krohne who helped bring the show to life with a combination of projection, LED and live cameras.

And don’t ask what the working hours were….

The Ladies Football Club

Sheffield Crucible - 2026

Associate Video Designer/Programmer

Director: Elizabeth Newman

Video Designer: Joe Ransom

A lovely 3 weeks in Sheffield on this new play adapted by Tim Firth, telling the story of the development of Women’s football during World War 1.

Combining 4x projectors and a Disguise Solo system this show featured simple but effective projections featuring animations and illustrations by Daphne Ang.

Nice…

Sunset Blvd - Savoy Theatre 2023

Head of Video System

Director: Jamie Lloyd

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

I’m extremely proud to have helped Nathan & Joe bring their design to life, as the show grew from the rehearsal room to the huge award winning hit it became!

After programming the show and building the vision control system. I worked on the entire run with Liv, Steve & Jack to keep the multiple live cameras running, including the infamous Act 2 opening which involved a live song staged and sung on the strand every night and shown live on screen inside the Theatre.

Romeo & Juliet

Duke of Yorks Theatre - 2024

Production Head of Video

Director: Jamie Lloyd

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

Fresh off the heels of Sunset, I was lucky enough to open Jamie Lloyd’s production of Romeo & Juliet starring Tom Holland.

Using an enormous moving semi transparent LED wall the show featured lots of live cameras including scenes coming live from the Foyer and even a live jib shot from the roof every night, much to the delight of the Tom Holland fans!

The Human Body - Donmar Warehouse 2024

Associate Video Designer / Programmer

Director: Michael Longhurst & Ann Lee

Video Designers: Nathan Amzi & Joe Ransom

Once again working with Nathan & Joe, we added live cameras to this brand new play at the Donmar.

Featuring a moving roller screen and constantly revolving stage, I programmed the show to bring our camera operator Jack’s amazing shots to life, all controlled by the DSM and MIDI/OSC from lighting. Lovely stuff.
